ACC Aviation Group partnered with national flag carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, to fly hundreds of fans to Madrid for the UEFA Champions League final between Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday 1st June 2019.
ACC chartered three of Ethiopian’s widebody aircraft for Sportoptions.com, the UK’s largest sports tour operator, with Reds fans travelling from Liverpool and Manchester aboard the operator’s Boeing 787-900 and 787-800 Dreamliners, while Spurs fans flew out of London Heathrow aboard their Airbus A350-900.
ACC’s Director of Charter, Richard Smith, comments: “We are proud to have had the opportunity to once again help fans travel to see their sporting heroes in action in this season’s UEFA Champions League final in Madrid.
“The all-English club final resulted in unprecedented demand domestically and our partnership with Ethiopian Airlines allowed us to provide exclusive capacity to operate flights for both Liverpool and Tottenham fans, aboard some of the most modern aircraft in operation.
