Daniel joined ACMI 24 in 2016 to focus on business development across Africa and the Americas.
Raised in Devon on the family farm, Dan decided to train as a pilot in the USA and work as a flight instructor. For his qualifying long cross country he flew a single engine Cessna from Texas to Southern Mexico to renew his acquaintance with a lovely Mexican girl, whom he married.
They moved to Zambia, where Dan developed two oil companies, dealt with downstream oil and gas, and he and his wife had two daughters. A transfer to Cape Town followed, but the pull of aviation proved too great – they settled in Mexico and Dan commuted to LA, where he started a flight school.
Useless at cooking, Daniel is quite happy enjoying his wife’s excellent Mexican cuisine, while he visits the gym, plays tennis and enjoys a burn on his motorbike.Back to News
